The Business Development Sales Lead is a position that is focused on owning the pre and post sales cycle by growing the customer base in the Commercial, MDU and HOA space in the Buffalo area. The sales lead will have experience selling technology and/or services face to face, over the phone, by email, and via web-based presentations. The sales lead will have a history of bringing on new business through prospecting and executing on detailed funnel management. The sales lead will work closely with the business development project manager to ensure customer satisfaction and retention are met. Specific functions include:

  • Own and have accountability for MDU , HOA and commercial pre-sales functions. (District Vetting , funnel creation , site surveys, proposal creation)
  • Creation of proposals and service orders for MDU’s, HOA’s and Commercial prospects
  • Site survey coordination and for MDU’s, HOA’s and Commercial business opportunities
  • Funnel growth of MDU, HOA and Commercial prospects
  • Manage all Business Development Customer Contracts
  • Market and competitive analysis as needed
  • Point of Contact for all Commercial customers and MDU/HOA property managers post sales (excluding technical issues)
  • Representative for Homeowner Associations and Property Managers including attending HOA meetings and securing Easement Agreements

Ideal Candidate Skill Set:

  • Minimum three years experience as an account executive in a customer / client facing role
  • Track record of success in a quota driven sales environment
  • Understanding of internal pre-sales process including knowledge of operational processes in order to deliver service
  • Understanding of fiber internet service with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical customer base.
  • Track record of success developing new sales opportunities into long term partnerships
  • Proven track record of managing the entire sales cycle from pre to post sales
  • Ability to drive funnel management activity,
  • Ability to lead by influence and work collaboratively across work groups to drive projects to completion
  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues and manage through resolution to the benefit of the customer and the business
  • Self -starter who can manage multiple projects with competing priorities with minimal direction
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal business functions and external stakeholders
  • Four-year degree in related field preferred (business, marketing, finance)
