This is a hybrid (40% remote and 60% onsite) role in Buffalo, NY

About the job…
Are you super organized and love working with a team to create events? If so, read on! Odoo is looking for a Marketing Event Coordinator to join the Brand Marketing Team. In this role you will help plan 100 events in 2023/2024 for all North America. This is a fast-paced role and will require someone who is a crafty negotiator and knows how to manage their time wisely.
You’ll research the market and determine optimal locations for our events and then continue to negotiate with venues, caterers,etc. In addition to events you will include assisting the branding team in building Odoo’s brand awareness through billboard contracts, podcast contracts, trade shows, and influencer marketing.
Responsabilities:
- Coordinate hundreds of events across North America
- Secure venues, catering, etc.
- Ensure events run smoothly even from afar
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
- Negotiate contracts

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years of professional experience
- 1-3 years of events/ hospitality experience
- Able to work in a rapidly evolving field
- Highly organized
- Acute Attention to Detail
- Time management
Nice to have:
- Community management experience via social media channels
- Knowledge working in software
- Sociable and outgoing cultural fit
- Strong writing abilities
- Willing to learn constantly and work proactively
